Ahhh, eyebrows. Some are too thin, some are too thick, some have the wrong shape, some are sparse, and some have been drawn on with a magic marker. Yikes! As a self-proclaimed beauty aficionado, this is a serious subject! Brows literally have the ability to frame the face. If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the eyebrows are the clean, modern, well designed curtains on those gorgeous windows.

So, how can a girl get the perfect eyebrows? Start with an excellent pair of tweezers like these that I personally adore, and some tiny trimmers. All eyebrows need to be trimmed, whether yours are sparse or full. Comb brows upward and trim off the tiny tips of the hairs that are beyond your natural brow line. Tweeze strays below the eyebrow line in your brow bone. Key: don’t go nuts! If yours are pencil thin, let them grow in, for goodness sakes. You, missy, need to put the tweezers down and run away from the close-up mirror for a few months! Apply Revitalash Eyebrow Serum to your brows every night, and you’ll see regrowth more quickly. As for the rest of us, pluck hairs on your brow bone, creating a lovely arch just above your pupil. Invest in a great brow pencil or brow pomade. I love both these products. The YBF Universal Taupe Eyebrow Pencil is a universal color that can be used for all different hair types, depending on how hard you press. Genius and foolproof for beginners. If you’re a bit more savvy and prefer a powder/brush combo, the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade and angled brush is the creme de la creme. This is the beloved product used by makeup artists.  Personally, I use the brow pomade in Taupe and Anastasia Beverly Hills angled brush number 12 to fill in.  It doesn’t come out too dark, and is the perfect shade for dark blondes like me.

One thing I see a lot is brows that start too far from the center. Mistakenly, ladies feel that this will make the eyes appear wider set, when in reality it just looks cartoonish and strange. Brows should begin directly above the side of your nostril. Hold a pencil vertically next to your nose, and this is where the brow should begin. See photos for ideas on how to groom your brows.

Happy brow grooming, glammies! Hit me up if you have any questions and I’m happy to advise as you embark on your eyebrow journey 🙂
